New World China Land has hired banks for a proposed offering of five-year US dollar-denominated fixed or floating rate Green notes off its US$2bn medium term note programme.
HSBC, Mizuho Securities, DBS Bank, Natixis, BNP Paribas and Credit Agricole are joint global coordinators as well as joint bookrunners and joint lead managers with China Construction Bank (Asia), CMB Wing Lung Bank, Bank of Communications, United Overseas Bank, OCBC Bank, Bank of East Asia, UBS, AMTD and Heungkong Securities.
HSBC and Natixis are also joint Green structuring advisers.
New World China Land is the issuer of the unrated Reg S senior unsecured notes and New World Development is the guarantor. The proposed Green bond issue has received a “Pre-Issuance Stage Certificate” under the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency’s Green finance certification scheme.
New World China Land plans to use the proceeds from its debut Green bond offering to finance two certified environmental projects in the Greater Bay Area — Qianhai CTF Finance Tower in Shenzhen Qianhai Free Trade Zone and New World Zengcheng Comprehensive Development Project in Guangzhou.
New World Development’s core business areas include property development, property investment, infrastructure and services, department stores and hotels.
