Oman’s Capital Market Authority (CMA) of has launched an e-payment service tender for the Dhamani health insurance and Takaful platform which can be used to transfer funds between health services providers and insurance policyholders.
Dhamani is a digital platform for exchange of information, claims settlement, funds transfer, requests for approvals and verification and audit of insurance coverage between the parties of the insurance relationship, the regulators and supervisors.
The service will be added in the first phase of the platform, planned for launching in the final quarter of 2021, so regulators can monitor funds transfers between the parties to ensure the funds are paid within the required term in the health insurance regulations.
Dhamani will be implemented in several phases due to the size of technical and operational requirements of the platform.
