Chief Executive and Managing Director of Ahli United Bank Group Adel Al-Labban met with the President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa at Bahrain National Museum yesterday and visited the mounds hall which has recently been renovated

Ahli United Bank, alongside other parties, sponsored the renovation which opened to the public in June. The opening coincided with the 42nd meeting of the World Heritage Committee from June 24 to July 4 and BACA’s celebration of “Muharraq Capital of Islamic Cuture 2018”.

Shaikha Mai thanked Ahli United Bank for its support to Bahrain in preserving the kingdom’s human and cultural heritage. Bahrain National Museum’s celebrates its 30th anniversary in December, showcasing Bahrain’s rich cultural heritage which spans for over a thousands of years.

Al-Labban praised BACA’s efforts in preserving Bahrain’s human heritage, and stressed the support of Ahli United Bank to the momentum of the kingdom’s cultural and civilisational image. He also expressed readiness for more cooperation with BACA to carry out more cultural projects in the future.

Ahli United Bank is in the process of merging with Kuwait Finance House to create an Islamic Banking entity with more than $92 Billion in assets.
